How to Participate and Register

As an Independent Photographer:

As an independent participant, you get to locate your own show venue in the Ganges village area.
It is your responsibility to arrange terms of exhibiting directly between you and the venue.

The photo festival committee would be happy to provide you a list of venues seeking photographers.

Registration Fee: $25.

Includes placement on the Photographers pages of the website, additional publicity, and a sign for your window to correlate your venue. Your venue or studio “open” hours will be posted on the festival website.

With a Local Photo Organization:

The following two photo organizations will be hosting group exhibitions during the festival. Note each has it’s own fees for participation, as well as committee duties that come with membership.
Note: Photofest registration and fee are not required if you participate with one of these groups.

SaltSpring Photography Club:

All Salt Spring island photographers are welcome to join.
Fee to join the club: $30 + $70 to exhibit in “Eclectic Visions”, the club show to be held at Gallery 8 - June 3 to June 17.

Photosynthesis:

Group limited in size. New members and guest photographers are welcomed as space becomes available. If you are interested in becoming a guest, contact Photosynthesis chairperson:
Alane Lalonde.

Annual Fee includes participation in Festival exhibit: $120

The Photosythesis Group Show will be held at ArtSpring during the festival, June 3 - 17, open daily from 10 - 4

As a Gallery or Business Owner:

Be a part of the festival by featuring photography on your walls during the festival dates. If you don’t have wall space available, no need to miss out! Consider displaying a piece or two in your window.
All participating venues are encouraged to show work by Salt Spring Island photographers for the festival. It is your responsibility to make all arrangements with your exhibiting photographers.
The photo festival committee would be happy to provide you a list of photographers seeking venues.

As a Donor or Volunteer:

“Friends of the Photofest”
Help make the Photofest a success by donating any amount up to $99 in funds or goods, or volunteering to help with a task!
As our way of thanking you, your name will be listed on the festival website as a Friend of the Photofest.

“Sponsor”
Donate between $100  & $499 in funds or goods. Allow us to express our gratitude by listing your name (or business name) as a Sponsor on the festival website Sponsors page with your logo.

"Major Sponsor"
Donate over $500 in funds or goods. Allow us to express our gratitude by listing your name (or business name) as a Major Sponsor on the festival website Sponsors page with your logo.
